Overview
Commercial debt recovery is a core focus of the firm. We act for UAE suppliers, distributors, contractors and service providers whose customers have stopped paying, from a single overdue account to a portfolio of receivables.
Every matter starts with the documents: the contract or purchase order, the invoices, the delivery and acceptance records and the correspondence. From there we advise on the route most likely to produce a collectable result, and what it will cost to get there.
How we help
Account review and reconciliation
We reconcile the claim by legal entity and invoice, separating disputed items, credit notes and part-payments, so the demand is accurate from the first letter.
Formal demand and negotiation
We prepare a clear, documented demand and, where it serves you, negotiate a written payment plan or settlement that preserves your rights on default.
Payment orders and court claims
Where the debt is established in writing, due and for a fixed sum, a payment order may be the fastest route. Otherwise we prepare and file the claim before the competent UAE court or the DIFC Courts.
Bounced cheques and execution
A returned cheque can often go straight to execution. Once you hold an enforceable instrument, our execution team pursues attachment and the other measures the court allows.
When the debtor is in distress
If insolvency is in view, timing matters. We advise on creditor rights under the UAE restructuring and bankruptcy framework before your position weakens.
